Experience
I earned my bachelor's degree in Advertising and Public Relations with a minor in Sociology from the University of Central Florida. I then taught elementary school students in math and reading as part of the Teach For America program, where I helped my students raise their math and reading skills to grade level. During my time with Teach For America, the variety of learning styles and skill levels I encountered helped me develop many new skills as a teacher. I am currently involved in the HIPPY program, where I work with preschoolers' parents to ensure students are prepared for kindergarten. I enjoy working with students ranging from preschoolers to middle schoolers in subjects like math, reading, writing, phonics, grammar, public speaking, and study skills. I enjoy getting to know my students, and discovering each student's unique learning style, strengths, and challenges helps me to develop an individualized tutoring plan to help him or her to achieve any academic goals. I am a passionate educator, and I enjoy helping my students develop a love for learning. By setting the bar high, I try to inspire my students to continue learning and growing. In my spare time, I like to cook, write, travel, volunteer, and spend time outside.
