EducationUniversity of South Florida-Main Campus - BS, Industrial Engineering
ExperienceI graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering. I am currently in the process of applying to graduate programs so that I can receive a master's in engineering management. As a child of an elementary teacher, I've seen firsthand the power that education and exceptional teaching skills can have on a student's life. I've always felt like teaching was a calling of mine, which is why I worked as a tutor for more than a decade. As an educator, I've helped a variety of students improve their understanding of history, science, English, and a number of other subjects, but it's math that I'm truly passionate about teaching. As an engineer, I work with math on a day-to-day basis and know just how important it is to have a good understanding of mathematical concepts. Additionally, working in a field that relies heavily on math has helped me learn how to teach math in a way that students can relate to, so that they're able to use their skills outside the classroom. I believe that everyone learns differently, and the most effective way to teach someone is to find out their strengths and weaknesses and design lessons based on that. When I'm not tutoring, I like to read, play sports, and practice playing my guitar.
HobbiesReading, playing guitar, mathematics, watching movies, running.
